Nairobi and Kisumu Showcase

This March and April, Nina Ogot is excited to announce a new series of live shows in Kenya.

Her dedicated fans have been impatiently waiting for the songstress to showcase in the ‘Luo capital’ Kisumu and in the official capital Nairobi as well. Nina, who coins lyrics in her mothertongue and uses her music to spread her Luo traditions locally and internationally, will finally get the opportunity to perform music in her DALA.

This is a quartet ensemble comprising of Raffaello Visconti (lead guitars) who recently arrived in Nairobi from Belgium and Kenyan counterparts Mike Munene (bass) and Biron Orore (drumset). This set-up is therefore another step in Nina’s unique international collaboration between her Kenyan and European band members – an exciting musical show described by her fans as a “Luopean” experience!
